Christmas and New Year are just around the corner, if you wonder how this year passed by;  Well, it was one hell of events and historical moments for the all Malaysians and people generally.

It’s been an up and down year for human rights and people’s democracy but nevertheless highly inspiring too. Let’s start it with positive note on what happen in Malaysia and world wide briefly

  1. People’s power that brought the EO6 out from the detention. Nightly candle light vigil and countless protest and memos with streaming online campaigns.
  2. BERSIH 2.0: the yellow wave with thousands of rakyat throng upon the street despite tight filter by BN’s ‘Polis Raja Di Malaysia’.
  3. Protest and more protests organised to demand Minimum Wage Act, Stop Free Trade Agreement, Labour Act 1955 amendments, Against Peaceful Assembly Bill.
  4. Started in Tunisia and revolution spread like wild fire across the Arab region (Arab Spring) with people hitting down the street and camped for their rights.
  5. It’s now towns, buildings and online are filled with OCCUPY .

However this has NOT stopped the ever-greedy capitalist backed government to further suppress the people with more of their ‘brilliant’ plans such as more free trade agreements coming in, passing the peaceful assembly Bill, allowing LYNAS, introducing new vague health insurance scheme and of course with 13th General election ‘sweets and lip service’ promises.

NO MATTER WHAT … the people had rise to the occasion to fight injustice  and will continue to do so ..thus we have heck lots of things to do! So think about this..

The people who were trying to make this world worse are not taking the day off.

Why should I?” (Bob Marley)

Let’s give a thought on what Bob Marley has said while chilling on your couch enjoying the season and watch year 2011’s curtain falls.

Merry X-Mas and Happy New Year from JERIT!
